How Coaches collect Coaching Fees online or offline

PGA Jr. League Coaches can collect Coaching Fees either online through the platform or offline outside of the website. This article explains both options, when each applies, and what setup is required.


Coaching Fees Overview

  • Coaches set their Coaching Fee during Program setup.

  • Coaching Fees can be edited at any time by updating the Program registration.

  • Coaching Fees are separate from the #GameChanger Membership Fee, which players pay once per calendar year.


Ways to Collect Coaching Fees

Coaches can choose one of two collection methods:

  • Offline (outside the PGA Jr. League Platform)

  • Online (through Stripe Direct Deposit)

Your selection determines how families pay during registration.


Collecting Coaching Fees Offline

How Offline Collection Works

  • You do not need a Direct Deposit (Stripe) account.

  • During online registration, families will only pay the $120 #GameChanger Membership Fee.

    • Each player only needs to purchase the #GameChanger Club once per calendar year, regardless of how many PGA Jr. League seasons or programs they participate in that year.

  • Coaching Fees are collected separately, outside the platform (for example, in person at your facility).

Important Notes

  • If you do not set up Stripe, you cannot select “Collect Fees Online” during Program setup.

  • You are responsible for communicating payment instructions and collecting fees directly from families.


Collecting Coaching Fees Online

How Online Collection Works

To collect Coaching Fees online, you must set up a Direct Deposit account through Stripe.

  • Stripe can be connected to:

    • A personal bank account

    • A business bank account

    • A non-profit bank account

  • During registration, families pay:

    • Your Coaching Fee

    • The #GameChanger Membership Fee (if not already purchased that year)

  • Coaching Fees are typically deposited within 2–3 business days.

Setting Up Stripe

  • You will be prompted to set up Stripe when publishing your Program, or

  • You can set it up later from your Dashboard → Payment Settings


Refunds for Online Coaching Fees

  • Online refunds are processed through Stripe.

  • If funds are available in your Stripe account, the refund is taken from there.

  • If not, the connected bank account will be debited.

  • Coaches may also choose to issue refunds offline/directly at their discretion.
