After creating a PGA Jr. League Team, the next step is to associate that Team with a League. Teams must be part of a League in order to participate in the PGA Jr. League season.
What Is League Formation?
League Formation is the process of grouping one or more PGA Jr. League Teams into a League so they can compete during the season.
Teams cannot participate in league play until they are assigned to a League
Coaches do not manually create Leagues in the system
League creation and assignment is handled by your Player Engagement Consultant (PEC)
Once your Teams are ready, your PEC will guide the League Formation process.
Types of Leagues
There are two types of PGA Jr. League Leagues:
In-House League
An In-House League includes only Teams from:
A single Program
A single Facility
This option is commonly used when:
All Teams are hosted at the same facility
Coaches want full control over scheduling and operations
Travel between facilities is not required
For In-House Leagues:
Your Player Engagement Consultant creates the League
Only Teams from your Program / Facility are included
Multi-Facility League
A Multi-Facility League includes Teams from:
Multiple Programs
Multiple Facilities in the same area
This option is commonly used when:
Teams want to compete against nearby facilities
Multiple Coaches are collaborating in the same region
For Multi-Facility Leagues:
Your Player Engagement Consultant coordinates with you and other facilities
What Coaches Need to Do
As a Coach, your role is to:
Create your Team(s)
Ensure Teams are properly rostered and saved
