  • Individual parents or guardians

  • Entire Teams

  • Full Programs

➡️ Note: Coaches can also send messages directly from the PGA Jr. League Dashboard. For more information, see the article Messaging – Coaches (PGA Jr. League Dashboard).

How Messaging Works in the PGA Coach App

Messaging allows Coaches to communicate directly with families linked to their Programs and Teams. Messages are delivered in-app and notify parents and guardians associated with each player, including additional guardians. It is important to note that this communication system focuses on guardians and parents, not the players themselves.

These groups:

  • Include all parents and guardians, including added guardians

  • Stay updated automatically as rosters change

  • Reduce the risk of missing a family member

Best Practice: Use automatic Program or Team groups whenever possible to ensure complete communication coverage.

Additional Communication Options Using the PGA Coach Platform

While the PGA Coach Mobile App specializes in messaging parents and guardians, the PGA Coach platform provides additional tools for broader communication. For example:

Sending Emails to Parents and Guardians of Current Players

  • Coaches can utilize the platform to email parents and guardians by maintaining an active team roster. This requires setting up a team page and adding players in the program management area.

  • Messaging through the mobile app is another efficient option for reaching rostered team members.

Accessing Past Rosters for Communication

  • To contact players from previous seasons, coaches can log into the Coach Dashboard and navigate to the "Past Programs" section.

  • Filters and archive tools help in retrieving team rosters from specific program years.

Troubleshooting Account or Data Access Issues

  • Ensure the correct account credentials are used, especially if switching between program years.

  • Look for dropdown menus or filters that may obscure past program or roster data. These features, combined with the mobile app, offer a comprehensive communication toolkit for managing both current and past team relationships effectively.
