Key Things to Know
Our Technology Platform
PGA Jr. League’s custom-built program management platform allows PGA Coaches and Assistant Coaches to manage PGA Jr. League and PGA Coach from one central location.
Custom-built PGA Jr. League mobile apps are available for Coaches and parents.
Stripe integration allows PGA Coaches to collect program fees electronically.
Visit the PGA Coach Website & Mobile App Help Center for additional support.
The #GameChanger Club
Each player pays a $120 #GameChanger Club membership fee once annually, in addition to any seasonal program fees established by the PGA Coach.
The membership includes two custom jerseys and other team kit items that the player can use throughout the year.
Members receive exclusive discounts from PGA of America partners.
The membership covers required background screenings and Abuse Prevention Systems (APS) training for PGA Coaches and Assistant Coaches.
The annual membership gives PGA Coaches the flexibility to offer additional seasons throughout the year.
9U Continues in 2027
The 9U division is designed for players ages 4-9 and provides a fun, age-appropriate introduction to golf.
Built on the principles of the American Development Model (ADM), the 9U division helps young players remain engaged, develop their skills and build a lifelong love of the game.
An established 13U program provides the foundation for adding a 9U division and organizing programs with multiple age divisions.
As in previous seasons, all 9U players count toward 13U All-Star team eligibility.
Phase 1: PGA Coach Program Creation (Opens Oct. 15, 2026)
Connect with your Player Engagement Consultant to discuss, plan and organize your 2027 seasons.
The technology platform simplifies program creation and registration:
Auth0 integration with PGA.org and PGA Coach allows programs to be managed from one central location.
The system saves your information, reducing the need to enter the same details multiple times.
Programs can be published more quickly.
Full league-management functionality is available through the website and the PGA Coach mobile app. Available tools include parent communication, RSVPs, scheduling, scoring and more.
Stripe makes it easier to collect program fees through online payments.
PGA Coaches may invite Assistant Coaches or Managers to help administer their programs.
An Assistant Coach or Manager may be a PGA of America or LPGA Member, Associate or Student; a family member; or another approved volunteer.
All Assistant Coaches must pass the required background screening and complete the required APS training.
Assistant Coaches may be assigned one of three support roles:
Location Manager: Has full access to every program associated with a specific location. A Location Manager can edit or update programs, change the maximum number of participants, change registration close dates, manage schedules, enter scores and communicate with participants.
Program Manager: Has full access to a specific program. A Program Manager can edit or update that program, change the maximum number of participants, change the registration close date, manage the schedule, enter scores and communicate with participants.
Team Manager: Appears on the official team roster but has limited access. A Team Manager can view and communicate with a specific team through the MyPGA mobile app but does not have administrative access through the website.
Phase 2: League Formation & Scheduling (November 2026-March 2027)
Player registration opens Nov. 13, 2026. Create and publish your programs, and add schedules as early as possible to provide a seamless experience for families.
If you participate in a multi-facility league, your Player Engagement Consultant will help gather the participating PGA Coaches for a preseason call to discuss scheduling and league management.
In-house leagues remain the best way to maximize the available program-management features, maintain control over scheduling and provide a positive experience for PGA Jr. League families.
Use the mobile app to schedule practices, game days and other team events.
Phase 3: Planning Optional All-Star Play Days (Begins February-March and Continues Through August 2027)
Traditional PGA Jr. League All-Star Season Pathway
The traditional pathway is available for both 13U and 17U All-Star teams:
Sectional → Regional → National Championship
Optional PGA Jr. League All-Star Season Pathway
An optional pathway is also available for both 13U and 17U All-Star teams:
All-Star Play Day Regional Leaderboard → Regional → National Championship
Hosting and Participating in All-Star Play Days
Any PGA Coach may host an All-Star Play Day.
An All-Star Play Day host may charge participating teams an entry fee.
All-Star Play Day Format
All-Star Play Days are nine-hole aggregate stroke-play competitions.
For a 13U All-Star team, the top three of four pair scores are combined to determine the team score.
For a 17U All-Star team, the top two of three pair scores are combined to determine the team score.
All team scores are calculated relative to par, or “to par.”
Regional Leaderboard
Each participating All-Star team’s “to par” score will appear on the virtual Regional Leaderboard for its region.
An All-Star team must compete in at least three All-Star Play Days to be eligible to qualify for a Regional through the Regional Leaderboard.
If an All-Star team participates in more than three All-Star Play Days, the system will automatically calculate and display the team’s three best scores.
The top four 13U teams and top four 17U teams on each Regional Leaderboard as of the specified qualification date will advance to the Regional.
Phase 4: Player Registration & Marketing (Begins November 2026)
PGA Coaches can set their own player-registration opening date, providing greater control and flexibility.
National promotion of player registration begins in November during the 13U PGA Jr. League Championship on the ESPN networks.
PGA Coaches are encouraged to publish their programs early to benefit from national promotion through broadcast and digital media partners such as ESPN.
A complete marketing toolkit with customizable materials is available through the Coach Resource Center. To access it, sign in to PGAJrLeague.com and open the Coach Dashboard.
Phase 5: Season Kicks Off/Operations (Begins January/February 2027)
Easy Management via Website and Mobile App Technology
Improved rostering tools make it easier to organize players and teams.
PGA Coaches can manage team kit fulfillment through the Coach Dashboard. Player jerseys will display the player’s last name.
The platform provides greater transparency for PGA Coaches throughout the season.
Varying Levels of Permissions for Other Managers
The PGA Coach can invite Assistant Coaches to help manage a program.
The PGA Coach controls the level of access and program-management permissions assigned to each Assistant Coach.
Phase 6: All-Star Season (Begins May 2027)
All-Star Eligibility and Team Composition: More Flexibility
Leagues may form multiple All-Star teams based on a sliding scale, with a maximum of three teams per league in both the 13U and 17U divisions.
Additional eligibility and team-composition information is available in the Coach’s Guide and Conditions of Play.
Minimum and maximum All-Star roster allocations for individual programs within multi-facility leagues have been removed.
PGA Coaches participating in a multi-facility league have the same flexibility to construct their All-Star teams as PGA Coaches operating in-house leagues.
Pathway Options
The traditional pathway remains unchanged for both divisions:
13U: Sectional → Regional → National Championship
17U: Sectional → Regional → National Championship
An optional second pathway is available for both divisions:
13U: All-Star Play Day Regional Leaderboard → Regional → National Championship
17U: All-Star Play Day Regional Leaderboard → Regional → National Championship
Fee Structure
The Regional Championship entry fee is $300 per player for both 13U and 17U All-Stars.
The National Championship entry fee is $500 per player for both 13U and 17U All-Stars.
PGA Coaches own the competitive and club pathway of PGA Jr. League. Coaches may charge an additional All-Star coaching fee and create additional experiences around the All-Star Season.
All-Star Team Management
PGA Jr. League’s custom-built league-management software supports both local league play and the All-Star Season.
