Resolve Common Child Registration Issues on MyPGA

Troubleshooting guide for parents and guardians

Written by Camp Murphy

If you are having trouble registering your child on MyPGA, the issue is usually caused by one of the following:

  • Registration is blocked due to age or date of birth (DOB)

  • The system is prompting you to pay the #GameChanger Club fee again

  • You cannot find the PGA Jr. League program you are looking for

  • The program appears available, but registration will not complete

  • The completed registration is not visible in the MyPGA app

  • The registration status shows as “In Progress”

  • The account holder or player information is incorrect

Use the sections below to identify the issue and fix it.

Before you start

Before troubleshooting registration issues, please confirm the following:

  • You are logged into the correct parent/guardian MyPGA account

  • The email address matches the one previously used for PGA Jr. League or MyPGA

  • The primary MyPGA account holder is an adult parent or guardian

Important:

  • PGA Jr. League registration must be completed on the PGA Jr. League website:

  • The MyPGA mobile app is used after registration for:

    • team communication

    • schedules

    • player information management

    • coach messaging

If you are unsure which account was previously used:

  • Check the email address receiving prior PGA Jr. League communications

  • Review past registration confirmation emails

Using a child as the primary account holder can prevent registration from completing successfully.

1) Registration blocked due to age or date of birth (DOB)

Common cause

Registration can be blocked if the date of birth (DOB) on the account or player profile is incorrect.

How to fix it

  1. Download or open the MyPGA app

  2. Log in to the MyPGA account associated with the player

  3. Edit the player’s date of birth under account/player details so it matches the player’s actual DOB

  4. Return to the registration website and try again

Division Eligibility

Player eligibility is based on the player’s age as of July 31 of the program year.

  • 9U Division: Player must be 9 or younger

  • 13U Division: Player must be 13 or younger

  • 17U Division: Player must be 17 or younger

Examples

  • If a player turns 14 on August 1, they are still eligible for 13U that year

  • If a player turns 10 on July 30, they are not eligible for 9U

Note

  • Coaches have the discretion to modify division eligibility

2) Being asked to pay the #GameChanger Club fee again

What is the #GameChanger Club?

The #GameChanger Club is the annual membership required for each player participating in PGA Jr. League.

  • Cost: $120 per player

  • Renews: once per calendar year (January to December)

  • Paid by: parent/guardian during registration

  • Important: Each player only needs to purchase it once per calendar year, even if they join multiple seasons or programs

Common cause

This issue usually occurs when registration is being completed from a different MyPGA account than the one previously used.

How to Fix It

  1. Confirm you are logged into the same MyPGA account used for prior registration

  2. Check which email address received previous registration confirmations or program notifications

  3. Log out and back into the correct account

  4. Retry registration on https://www.pgajrleague.com/

Once you are logged into the correct account, the system should recognize the membership as already paid.

3) Cannot Find a PGA Jr. League Program

Common Causes

A program may not appear in search results if:

  • The coach has not published the program yet

  • Registration has closed based on the coach’s registration close date

  • The program has reached maximum player capacity

  • The program name or facility name was entered incorrectly

  • The search terms used were too narrow or incomplete

Important:
Once registration closes or a program reaches capacity, the program may no longer appear on the PGA Jr. League website.

How to Troubleshoot

Try Different Search Methods

Search using:

  • Facility name

  • Postal code

  • City and state

  • Coach name

Tip:
Searching by facility name often works better than searching by team or program name alone.

Broaden the Search

  • Remove filters if possible

  • Expand the search radius

  • Double-check spelling of the facility or program name

Confirm Details With the Coach

Ask the coach to confirm:

  • The exact program name

  • Facility name

  • Whether registration is still open

  • Whether the program has reached player capacity

Recently Updated Registration Settings

If the coach recently:

  • extended the registration close date

  • reopened registration

  • adjusted player capacity

…it may take several hours for changes to sync across systems.

Continue refreshing the Find Programs page periodically.

Still Cannot Find the Program?

If the program still cannot be located, contact PGA Jr. League Support so registration availability can be reviewed.

Common customer phrases related to this issue include:

  • “The program disappeared”

  • “The registration link is gone”

  • “The team no longer shows”

  • “I can’t find the program anymore”

4) Program Looks Available, but Registration Will Not Complete

Common Cause

Sometimes a program appears in search results before registration is fully enabled for the season.

How to Troubleshoot

  1. Visit the Find Programs page on the PGA Jr. League website

  2. Verify the program listing is active

  3. Check back periodically, as registration may not yet be fully open

  4. If you are a returning player, contact the coach to ask when registration will officially open

5) Completed Registration Not Visible in MyPGA App

Common Cause

Sometimes a completed registration does not immediately appear in the MyPGA mobile app.

How to Troubleshoot

  1. Verify you are logged into the same email address used during registration

  2. Log out of the MyPGA app and back in

  3. Reinstall or update the app if needed

  4. Allow time for account data to refresh

6) Registration Status Appears “In Progress”

Common Cause

An “In Progress” registration status usually indicates incorrect or incomplete account holder information on the MyPGA account.

How to Fix It

Verify that:

  • The primary account holder is an adult parent or guardian

  • The player was added under the player profile section

  • Account holder information is complete and accurate

If needed:

  1. Open the MyPGA app

  2. Navigate to account settings

  3. Update the adult account holder information

  4. Retry registration on https://www.pgajrleague.com/

7) Incorrect State or Account Information

How to Fix It

You can update account information directly in the MyPGA mobile app.

  1. Open the MyPGA app

  2. Navigate to account settings

  3. Update the incorrect state or account information

  4. Save changes and retry registration if needed
