Below, we'll walk through each section which is required as part of your coach profile. We offer additional items, and call them out below, but because they aren't required to publish your profile we have simply linked to the appropriate articles to find more information.

Important Note

When you sign in for the first time to start your profile we attempt to fill as much as we can from your existing PGA.org profile. You'll notice information already filled in, like your name, facility and maybe a photo - please free to update those if you would like to.

Caveat - Updating information on your profile will not change your information on the PGA Directory.

Setting Your Profile Name

Your profile name is what creates your unique URL on pga.com. When you set your profile name you can know that it will only be available to you and that your profile, when published, will be available at a url that looks like this pga.com/coach/{YourProfileName}.

When you complete your profile we'll provide you with the real URL for you to use if you would like to add a link to it on social media, email signature, or business cards.

Suggested Profile Names

We have a handy quick suggestion feature where we have several different variations of your first and last name. This are commonly used formats and you are free to use any of them.

Feel free to choose one of them, or you can also come up with your own. If you want to use profiles from social media like Twitter or Instagram you can do so as well.

Profile Name Requirements

  • Must be unique across all pga.com profiles (sorry John Smith's)

  • No spaces

  • No special characters except for -, _

Filling In Your Profile

About You

In this first section, we'll begin to fill out information which will display on your profile and on the coach search experience.

Title (optional)

You can choose to add your professional title at the facility you work at but you are also free to use a standout statement which you think potential students may be drawn to.

Photo (optional)

While a photo is optional, we strongly suggest to add a photo. We may have been able to import a photo from the PGA Directory, however, please review it and make sure it is what you'd like to use.

We think you should attempt to have a semi-professional looking head-shot as your photo. It is also suggested not to include any other logos or marks over the photo as we use this photo at various sizes and those marks can make the photo hard to discern at smaller sizes.

Contact Information

With your profile, you'll received an automatic lead capture form. When a lead fills out the form on your profile they will receive an email confirmation. The information you provide under Contact Information will be shared with them at this point. The only required field is email, however, we suggest adding all the relevant information you'd like a potential lead to have.

Location

This location is for display purposes only. It is not used for location specific search.

Price

At this time we are capturing price as a mechanism of research. We are working on deeper solutions as it pertains to actual lesson display and pricing. Thanks you for sharing this information with us.

Important Note: It is not shared on your profile.

Facilities

You can add up to 3 facilities to showcase on your profile. Your first facility is always considered your Primary Facility. Your primary facility, and its address, will be used for location based (closest to) searches on pga.com.

Note: As with other information. We may have already imported the data about the facility based on your PGA Directory.

Autocomplete Facilities

In an attempt to save time creating your profile we offer an autocomplete for facilities we already have information about. If you find that the information is incorrect, new website, new phone number, etc. please let us know and we will update it as soon as possible. Suggestion, don't keep it from completing your profile.

If you want to add a new facility or you can't find the one from the list, you can do so by simply continuing to type and fill in all of the required information.

Note: The Facilities you add when creating your profile will be automatically visible on your Coach Profile.

Need to make changes to facilities once your profile is published?

Experience

You can think of experiences as a way to narrow in on the clients you work with. We suggest that you be selective to better match with the right student, however, we understand that many members work within many, if not all, of these options.

Services

Your services is another way to fine tune your discovery on pga.com. Again, we suggest to be selective but understand that all options might apply.

Skills

The skills area is your place to highlight where you can make a real impact for players who might be wanting to focus on a particular skill. You can choose up to 8 skills to showcase on your profile.

Publishing Your Profile

When you are ready to publish your profile you can click "Create Profile" at the top or bottom of the screen (you may need to scroll up or down to find the button).

After successfully creating your profile you'll now be able to go to your profile URL as well as search pga.com/coach for your profile.

Troubleshooting

All fields listed above are required. If you see a red message next to any field on the form you will not be able to save and publish the profile.

If you are still unable to save the profile please do not hesitate to chat with us using the icon in the bottom right corner of your screen or you can also email the team at coachprofiles@pga.com.
