Sponsoring a Non-Member to Use PGA Coach

Learn how you can sponsor a non-PGA Member to use the PGA Coach platform.

If you work with an instructor or staff member at your facility who is not a PGA Member but would benefit from using the PGA Coach platform, you can sponsor them to gain access.

By sponsoring a non-member, you allow them to:

  • Use PGA Coach’s business tools

  • Appear on PGA.com’s coach search, helping them attract new students

  • Manage lessons and groups at your facility

A PGA Coach sponsorship is does not mean they will get access to the following:

  • PGA of America programs (Junior League, PGA HOPE, etc.)

  • Unlimited platform access

Note: From a consumer perspective, PGA Members will remain visually differentiated on the platform. The value of working with a PGA Professional will continue to be featured across coach profiles and landing pages.


How to Sponsor a Non-Member:

Step 1: Go to Your Account Details

Visit my.pga.com/account on your computer, or open the PGA Coach mobile app and navigate to your account screen.

Step 2: Find ‘PGA Coach Sponsorships’

You’ll see a new section titled ‘PGA Coach Sponsorships.’ This is where you manage and add new non-member access.

Step 3: Click ‘Add New Sponsorship’

This will open a short form requesting the non-member’s information:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Title (e.g., Assistant Professional)

  • The facility they are associated with

Step 4: Submit the Sponsorship

After submitting, the non-member will receive an email invitation to join PGA Coach.

Important: Make sure you use the correct email address they will use for their PGA Coach account.

Step 5: Non-Member Accepts and Sets Up Account

They must click the ‘Get Started’ link in the email to accept the sponsorship and create their PGA Coach account. Once complete, they’ll have access to the platform.

How it Works:

Sponsorships Last 12 Months

This helps ensure that access is limited to individuals currently affiliated with your facility.

Revoking Accessing

If a non-member no longer works at your facility, simply remove their sponsorship from the same ‘PGA Coach Sponsorships’ section.

Need Ongoing Access?

After one year, non-members will need to be re-sponsored by a Member.

Important to Note: Sponsoring a coach grants them access to use the platform, but does not provide you with visibility into their schedule, offerings, or other personal account details.
