How to Request a Player Switch or Swap (Coaches - PGA Jr. League)

Moving a player from one program or age division to another is not a direct technical move within the system. Instead, this is a Support-managed process that requires a refund followed by a new registration.

Written by Camp Murphy

‼️Important: This process must be initiated by contacting PGA Jr. League Support.

Switch and swap requests are reviewed through the same refund-review workflow used for registration changes and roster removals.

What to Expect: The Switch Process

Because players cannot be moved directly between rosters, the PGA Jr. League Support team manages the transition on your behalf to ensure all fees and team kit details remain accurate.

1. Initiate the Request via Chat

  • PGA Jr. League Support manages switch and swap requests through the support chat process.

  • Support will collect the details needed to review the request, including player and program information.

2. Support Processing

  • Once Fin collects your information, the request is handed to a Support Team Member.

  • Support will initiate the refund and remove the player from the original program roster.

    • Note: If a coaching fee was paid online, the refund will be processed after Coach Approval is received.

3. Parent Re-registration

  • After Support confirms the player has been removed, the parent or guardian must complete a new registration for the desired program or age division.

  • This ensures the player is correctly placed in the new program (e.g., moving from 13u to 17u).

Important Information About Fees

  • The #GameChanger Club Fee: This fee ($120) is only charged once per calendar year. If a player switches programs in the same year, they will not be charged this fee twice.

  • Coaching Fees: * Online Fees: Refunded through the PGA Jr. League system once approved by the Coach.

    • Offline Coaching Fees: Handled directly between the parent and the Coach.

Team Kits & Roster Rules

  • Existing Kits: Players switching programs within the same calendar year will continue using their existing team kit. A new kit is not issued for a switch unless a new #GameChanger Club fee is required.

  • Non-Refundable Status: The $120 #GameChanger Club fee becomes non-refundable once the Coach has submitted the Team Kit order for the season.

  • Replacements: If a new jersey is needed due to a move, parents can purchase them through the Macron/PGA Jr. League Storefront.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a Coach move a player directly?

  • No. Coaches do not have the administrative access to swap players between rosters. All switches must go through Support.

How long does the refund take?

  • Once Support processes the request, funds typically return to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.

Why is Coach approval needed?

  • For online coaching fees, refunds are deducted directly from the Coach’s bank account. Approval ensures the Coach has sufficient funds and agrees with the transaction.
