How to update your facilities for seasonal or permanent transition

A new facility can be added to your Coach Profile in the event of a seasonal transition, if you will be teaching at multiple facilities in your current location, or if you will be moving to a new facility or location permanently. Previously listed facilities can be moved down the priority list, hidden or deleted altogether. Existing facilities can be hidden, unhidden or have its priority changed at any time.

Important Note: Deleting a facility is not recommended. If a listed facility is deleted, all previously created booking types will be permanently deleted. Do not delete a facility until you have confirmed all necessary information (booking types, events, etc.) has been transferred to the new facility.

If you are set up to host PGA Jr. League at a facility, you will not be able to delete the facility connected to it.


Moving Seasonally or Utilizing Multiple Local Facilities

If you will be moving temporarily or will be teaching at multiple local facilities, you can add your new facility, adjust the priority and hide (rather than delete) the old one. Once hidden, students will no longer be able to book at the previous facility, but all information will remain available for your future use.

Add a New Facility

Navigate to the Settings page from the PGA Coach homepage. Select Facility, followed by Add Facility, then enter the name of the new facility where you will be teaching. All of the appropriate information (name, address and additional information) will auto-populate once the club is selected. Select Save to add the new facility to your list.

Changing the Listed Priority of Facilities

Your facility priority can be changed on the Coach Profile page, under Facilities. For a temporary facility change, this will be important as the first facility listed is used as your location in the “Coach Search” results on PGA.com.

Once you have added your new facility, your list of facilities can be adjusted to the order you would like them to appear on your page.

From the Coach Profile page, select edit, then Facilities. Using the up and down arrows, you are able to adjust the order the clubs are listed on your profile. The first listed facility will show as your location.

Update Offerings

Booking types and events are added and edited on the Offerings page.

Booking Types

There is currently not an option to duplicate existing booking types. You will need to create new booking types as needed for your new facility. There are a couple of options available:

  1. Existing booking types can be edited and changed to the new facility if needed. This will not delete existing scheduled lessons, but students will no longer be able to book at the old facility.

  2. Existing booking types can be saved for future use, without allowing additional bookings, by setting it to "Private" once a new booking type at the new facility has been created. When you are ready to begin transferring back to your previous facility, set the new facility booking type to "Private" and switch the old facility booking type back to "Public."

Events

Any existing event can be duplicated by selecting “Copy Existing Event” on the Create Event page. Be sure to select the correct facility based on your new location, then verify all information within the new event.

Hiding Facilities

For a temporary facility change, hiding a facility will remove the previous facility from searches and unwanted inquiries during your time away from the previous facility.

A listed facility can be hidden/unhidden from your profile by selecting the eye icon next to the arrows that change the priority of the facility. Hiding a facility will no longer show the facility on your coach profile. If the hidden facility is at the top of the priority list, your current location will default to the next facility on the list.


Moving Facilities Permanently

If you will be moving permanently, you can add the new facility, update the priority so that it is listed first in your coach profile, copy/update any existing offerings, then delete your old facility.
