Lessons Packs allow you to set multiple packs which have a quantity of lessons and a price defined for your students to purchase - potentially for a discount.
In order to make a Lesson Pack available for your students to purchase, you will need to have a PGA Payment account set up.
Example of Lesson Pack on Coach Schedule Page
Creating a Lesson Pack
A lesson pack can be created by selecting the option when creating a Booking Type within your offerings.
Select Lesson Packs
When choosing to set up Lesson Packs, you will still be creating a Booking Type.
Build Your Packs
A Lesson Pack is made up of unique Packs, which you are able to customize. You must have at least one pack defined, however, there are no limits to the number of packs you define or the specific quantity or prices you enter.
When a student purchases a defined pack, they will automatically be able to book up to the quantity of lessons for this Booking Type that you have defined.
Using Minimum Quantities (Advanced)
It is possible to enforce a minimum quantity that is greater than 1. Setting a larger minimum quantity requires students to commit to a larger series of lessons before they are able to book a lesson.
Example
A student buys a 5-pack of private lessons with a 1 year expiration on July 1, 2022. The student schedules 4 lessons before July 1, 2023. On July 2, the remaining balance of 1 from the original pack of 5, will no longer be bookable by the student. The student will need to purchase a new pack of lessons.
Set Your Expiration Date
To limit the number of available lessons to be booked and encourage usage, you can specify how long a student has to schedule a lesson after they purchase a Lesson Pack.
Any balance a student has remaining after an expiration date will no longer be available to use to book future lessons.
Lesson Pack Payments
Online payments for Lesson Packs uses your PGA Payments account. PGA Payment uses Stripe which enables safe and secure online transactions for you and your students.
Issuing Refunds
Similar to our standard booking type refunds, we currently support full or partial refunds for lesson packs as well.
Please Note: Refunding a lesson pack transaction does not modify the customer's lesson pack balance. This means that even if a customer receives a refund for a lesson pack purchase, their lesson pack balance remains unchanged.
Enable Gifting for Lesson Packs
Coaches can now allow their lesson packs to be gifted – a great way to expand their reach and bring students into your coaching network.
How to enable gifting:
During Creation: When setting up a new lesson pack or editing an existing, enable gifting in the settings. Gifting is off by default.
How gifting works:
Purchase: A lesson pack is bought on from the MyPGA app or from your coach offerings on PGA.com.
Gift Option: After purchase, a “gift lesson pack” button appears on the confirmation screen.
Log into MyPGA: Purchaser clicks the “gift” and fills out the recipient's information and an email is sent.
Recipient Accepts Lesson Pack: The gifted pack is added to the recipients account, and a coach connected is created if not already established.
Managing Existing Student Balances
Currently Only Available in PGA Coach mobile app (iOS / Android)
If you have sold lesson packs to students outside of PGA Coach or using another tool, you can manually give each student the correct balance to begin using. This will allow you to quickly start allowing PGA Coach to manage a student's balance for one of your Booking Types.
Your student will receive a notification and any custom message provided by you, letting them know they have a balance available.
