What are Access Codes?

Access Codes are effectively passwords that you can set on your offerings in order to limit registration to students who have the Code.

When to use Access Codes

  • Private Facilities - If your facility only allows members to book sessions with you, you can restrict the lessons at that facility with an access code that you later share with members only.

  • Discounts - If you'd like to offer discounted rates to certain folks, you can use an access code to protect the discounted lesson types unless a student has the code.

  • Lesson Paths - Want your students to book an on-course playing lesson first? Protect all of your lesson types except your playing lesson! That way, they'll be forced to pick that lesson first - once that's done, you can share the access code of the lesson type you'd like your student to take as the second lesson.

These are just a few ideas, but as you can see, Access Codes are a super versatile way to gain a little bit of control over the types of sessions available to your students.

How it Works

When a student navigates to an Access Code-protected booking type and clicks on it, he/she will be presented with a pop-up asking to enter the code in order to unlock that booking type.

For example, clicking on "1 Hour Private Instruction" will display a dialog where your students will enter the code that you provide them. Once the correct code is entered, your student will be able to continue booking as usual.

Get Started with Access Codes

To get started with access codes, simply navigate to your list of booking types and select one to edit. Alternatively, you can create a new booking type altogether.

Navigate to the "Type of Registration" section and click "Require Access Code". Next simply enter the access code you'd like to use for that booking type.

NOTE: Access Codes are for that specific booking type. You must follow this process for each booking type, but please feel free to use the same code.
