Getting Started with a Coach Profile

Create your PGA Coach Profile in 5 easy steps! Once your profile is live, check out the next section to learn how to get promoted on PGA.com

Important: Updating information on your profile will not change your information on the PGA Directory

Step 1: Profile Information

First Name: For example, “Isaac”
Last Name: For example, “Burnham”
Display Name: How you want your name to appear, e.g., “Isaac W. Burnham PGA”

Profile Picture:

Recommended dimensions: 400x400 pixels

Contact:

This email is where you’ll receive notifications. It does not change the email or username you use to log in to PGA Coach.

Price:

Indicate the general price range for a single Private Instruction session so students can see it.

Service Area:

Describe where you offer services. This helps people find you on PGA.com and on Google.

Personal Bio:

Your bio is a key part of your coach profile. Use it to introduce yourself, highlight your skills, and showcase what makes you unique. For guidance, see our Guide to Writing Your Coach Bio.

Social:

Add links to your social media profiles to display on your profile.

Testimonials:

Include genuine testimonials or reviews from your students.

Photos:

Add photos of yourself coaching, your club, or anything else that makes your profile more engaging and personal for prospective students.


Step Two: Setting Your Profile URL

Creating Your PGA Coach Profile URL

When setting up your profile on PGA.com, you’ll create a unique Profile Name, which becomes part of your personalized URL: pga.com/coach/{YourProfileName}

Suggested Profile Names:
Use variations of your name, or reference your social media handles like Twitter or Instagram.

Profile Name Requirements:

  • Must be unique across all PGA.com profiles

  • No spaces

  • Only these special characters are allowed: - and _

Once set, this URL is yours to share anywhere—social media, email, or print.

💡 Pro Tip: This URL can be shared on social media, added to your email signature, or printed on business cards.


Step 3: Experience

What students can expect from you as a coach:

Getting Started:

Help students with the basics, build confidence on the first tee, and prepare them for business golf situations.

Having More Fun:

Encourage connection with peers and help students enjoy the game more on the course.

Improving Your Game:

Support students in achieving score milestones, increasing distance, enhancing their short game, preparing for tournaments, and pursuing educational opportunities through golf.


Step 4: Additional Information

Services:

Offer customized coaching for different groups—juniors, adults, seniors, and adaptive sessions—ensuring every golfer’s unique needs are met.

Session Types:

Provide one-on-one personalized coaching and engaging group lessons to suit individual learning preferences and social dynamics.

Skills:

Focus on developing all aspects of a golfer’s game, from swing technique and course strategy to adaptability and physical conditioning, enhancing both performance and enjoyment.


Step 5: Publishing Your Profile

When you’re ready to publish, click “Create Profile” at the top or bottom of the screen (you may need to scroll to find the button).

Once your profile is successfully created, you can visit your personalized profile URL and search for your profile on pga.com/coach.
